Poem - Winter
Posted on
I shouldn't mind the winter, cold and wet,
But creature comforts are the best you bet.
Lots of soaked hay to fill my tummy,
It helps keep me warm and it's yummy.
I hate the icy cold wind and the driving rain,
Without shelter I would go insane.
We have tall thick hedges and big trees,
That helps stop it whistling round my knees.
My shelter is dry with a soft shavings bed,
Somewhere to sleep and rest my head.
Humans are well trained to fetch and carry,
No wonder I am as happy as Larry.
To get attention I wait by the gate,
The humans never make me wait.
They know exactly what I need,
Including how I like my bucket of feed.
