A unique and stunning sculpture that tells the story of a hole in the soul and the mermaid's spirit.  

The soul is the essence of a person and what makes us a unique being. Soul consciousness helps to start with healing the hole in your soul. It can be mended. It takes courage, grit and a willingness to face and tackle the issues that caused the hole. 

This sculpture is made from driftwood for the connection to the sea and the water element that washed it to shore. The driftwood has a hole to represent a hole in the soul.

The mermaids head and tail are made from clay to connect us to mother earth.

The mermaid's hair is made from hand cut soft metallic gloving leather to create seawed which is decorated with seashells. 

The mermaid has eyes closed for inner work. While doing inner work it requires space to heal. 

A Mermaid’s Spirit.

A mermaid encourages us to seek a balance between the heart and mind. To think clearly. To process emotions and dig deep within to understand and face our fears. Look to your mermaid when struggling with emotions, or healing from a broken heart. She is connected to healing journeys and offers love, encouragement and support to those who seek it. With life challenges a mermaid’s spirit guidance can help steady and calm the waters. To swim the waters of life she tells us to be aware, to be willing to adapt and go with the flow. 

She reminds us to tap into our individuality and not to settle to conformity. A mermaid guide asks us to be authentic and true to ourselves. To celebrate our uniqueness.    

Her link is to the water element this connects her to cleansing, renewal and the source of life. The ocean has energizing healing qualities. Just like the sea, she is wild and not to be tamed and has fierce natural powers. Mermaids see the natural world with an innocence child-like wonder and remind us to connect to our inner child and nature. 

A mermaid in Old English was known as a Merwif, or Water Witch. Some call them an angel of the sea. She is linked to the symbolism of the Sacred Feminine.
